Falken ARINC-429 Adapter

Falken ARINC-429 Adapter

  • $ 499

Introducing the Falken ARINC-429 Adapter, the essential bridge between your certified IFR GPS navigator and the Falken FlightView EFIS. Designed to unlock the full potential of modern instrument flight, this compact interface module translates ARINC-429 navigation data into a format that the FlightView system can understand—bringing professional-grade guidance into the world of experimental and light-sport aircraft.

Once installed and configured, the ARINC-429 Adapter allows FlightView to display precision-scaled lateral and vertical deviation indicators, giving you clear, real-time situational awareness during RNAV and ILS instrument approaches. Lateral guidance is shown just like on a certified HSI, and vertical deviation appears in an intuitive glidepath indicator—right on the FlightView display. These critical cues, previously available only on certified primary flight displays, are now seamlessly integrated into the FlightView ecosystem for improved confidence and precision when flying IFR.

In addition to approach guidance, the ARINC-429 Adapter enables course overlay functionality on the FlightView moving map display. This allows pilots to visualize the IFR navigator’s planned route directly on the FlightView MFD, ensuring clarity and reducing cockpit workload during high-stress phases of flight.

The ARINC-429 Adapter connects to the FlightView system via RS-232 and is fully compatible with the Falken Flight Data Computer (FDC). Note that this advanced integration requires the full FlightView system and is not currently supported on the Astra mini-EFIS platform.

Whether you’re navigating enroute airways or descending on final to minimums, the Falken ARINC-429 Adapter delivers the guidance and situational awareness you need to fly with precision and peace of mind. It’s another step in Falken’s mission to bring advanced, integrated avionics to every cockpit.

Note that FlightView currently supports RNAV GPS approaches including LPV approaches. Support for terrestrial navigation approaches (ILS and VOR) will be added in a future FDC firmware update.
